Armageddon’s easy if you want it Just have to reach out and grab it Are you immune to the wreckage Or does the damage define? Light your path with burning bridges Warm your hands over smoldering ash Can’t see past the blast radius Dead center of a smoking crater A sullen sneer Your battlecry Joyous cynic on The last of your psychic lines In a rush to civilize Forgot where you’re from Only lantern you hold Is the need to affirm Chase the snows of Kilimanjaro To kill your loneliness Washed out of the ministry So you go and hide in the choir Entertaining the troops With the sounds of enemy guns Echoing off the walls of your home On the last living mountain (repeat chorus) Summon, the strength Grant me, relief No one, gets out alive Survive, out of spite You think refusal is a strategy

SANCTUARY LAMP There's a darkness At the edge of your mind Shadow of gloom and despair Can you keep the dusk from taking you Return the eulogists' stare She's a Coptic smile A fool who borrows from the dreams Of youth Anointed in Cimmerian shade You're not the object of missionary charity Villainy of faith Wagons that bring the bread to humanity Pass by leaving no trace Can only read by Her dying glow Faded long ago

I FOUGHT THE MAW (AND THE MAW WON) Your life Is only to die, man Your purpose here You self-create Revolt Transform into a rule of life What was Invitation to death Silent sky watches Pushing your stone Searching for meaning In a formless void Freedom Drown your idols in forever sea Not bound To prove false eternities Truth is absurd No absolutes You are free, man To live without appeal Passion This contradiction must be lived The conqueror Momentary ruler of dominions absent

Rid Of You 00:45
RID OF YOU You can see it In the path you take Your selfish motives And your past mistakes Open up your head Who is this dark star Bronzed savior With bullhorn mouth Roaring traitor Open up your head Reverberating mirror Half dumb, half dead Open up your head Distortion agent Rallying the inbred You can feel it In the pains you take Tangled reasons For privilege sake Hollow handshake While you shine their shoes Divert your attention And they're rid of you

Our War 02:37
OUR WAR The Morning Star On her translation trip At evening prayer They sing Homeward Bound The Morning Star Cast on the reef You say you're a monk Like it's a health condition So don't speak to me Of your serenity It's mine You sound like you read About punk rock in a book Dentured white panther Provincial demagogue It's mine I and I And you and you Me and me The royal we The revolution needs Neanderthals of its own To bit the bullets for hte bespeckled To clear the runways, to gas up the jets To welcome the coming of the new ice age Try and find your own words I can't hear them anyway Do I care Do I want to know Would I listen If you told me so It's mine

about

Thank you for checking out this first foray into our recording catalog. Unless you count the demo, and we aren't counting the demo.

This record represents our first batch of songs, which were written, arranged, and rearranged by all five members of S.D.C. (with exception of Rat Patrol, written and originally performed by John Haggerty and Naked Raygun). Our goal is to pay homage to the hardcore and punk rock music that helped define our personalities (for better or for worse?), harness that energy, and filter it back out as something recognizable, but new. It has to be new, right? Otherwise, what's the point?

Physical copies of the 10" record NOW available
60 - red vinyl, handmade covers (distributed by band)
440 - red vinyl, standard covers

When available we will post records to this space and make announcements via social media and carrier pigeon, and grabbing folks by the scruff to yell in their faces individually that the records are ready.

about

Saddam Death Cave Atlanta, Georgia

The elevator pitch was, and I quote, "Let's be like Poison Idea but without the morbid obesity. Like, just record a 7" and then one of us dies in a car accident."

We are old enough to know better, yet here we are, and now here is you too. Hello.
